    Theory Clothing Website (2010)

    Flash & Photoshop

    College Course

This site marks my first time using flash to build a website. I built the website for the fictional outerwear clothing company, Theory Clothing. Actionscript 3 was used to to build all of the site's interactive features. I wanted to build something with a kind of "serene" feeling to it, something similar to the feeling when the snow is falling heavily outside at night. You can see the full flash version of the site click here.

-Music used on the site is "The Arcane Dominion" by Eluveitie

For my midterm in my flash course I created a product guide for Faction Skis. My goal was to make a very smooth, clean, and straightforward site. To see the site in action, click here.

    Breckenridge Interactive Trail Map (2011)

    Flash & Illustrator

    College Course

For my final in my flash class, I created an interactive trail map of Breckenridge Ski Resort in Colorado. I tried to emulate some of the common features that your would find in things like Google Maps. I think that seeing it work live explains it a lot better than any text can, so to check it out, click here.

    Starin Hall Touch Screen (2011)

    Flash, Photoshop, and Photography

University of Wisconsin - Whitewater (Residence Life)

I inherited this job from the previous designer that was working at UWW Residence Life at the time. The goal was to build a program that could live on a touch screen computer in the lobby of the Starin Hall dorm on campus. When I started working on the project things had only gotten as far as the site map and wire framing.  I finished the design of the site as well as took all the all the photos that were used in the program. I then worked with the developer on the team, Dan Pastori, to come up with a way to link the flash file with PHP to a back end database. This way all of the information could easily be updated from outside of the flash file. I would provide a working sample of the file, but since I do not have access to the PHP, it would be more or less an empty shell.

    VH Audio Newsletter (2011)

    Photoshop

    College Course

I worked with a good friend and programmer, Andrew Miller, to create this HTML newsletter for VH Audio. The design of the newsletter was  an attempt to fit in with the visual style of his current site while at the same time giving it a bit of an update (the website looked like it had come straight out of the 90's). During the time creating this we expienced some of the problems associated with creating something in HTML for email, so we had to do back and simplify some areas.

The home page on the VH Audio Website by Andrew Von Haden

    VH Audio Website (2012)

    Photoshop

    VH Audio

On probably the biggest job I have worked on to date, I once again partnered up with friend and programmer Andrew Miller. Our job was to give the VH Audio website a complete redesign. The site took 19 different versions until we had settled on something that really ended up working. Unfortunately, due to issues outside of our control, the website was never implemented.
